Do more than just exist.
Life has a way of surprising you
with unexpected things that will
make you happier than what you
I thought I knew everything I wanted for my life. Everything safe and settled. I’ve had this timeline I set for myself but then reality kicked in and I knew then that not everything will go the way I wanted it to be.
Time changes everything and I’m no exception. As cliché as it may seem: “Change is the only constant thing in this world”.
I am a Radiologic Technologist by profession. For the first four years of my career, I am dealing with patients everyday for diagnosis and therapy both in Radiography and Sonography. It’s far from what I dreamed to be but it’s one of my skills I wouldn’t trade off for anything. However, like being stuck on a desktop job, it’s a routine – one that I still find myself completely withdrawn for some days. From there, I started looking for an escape.
“Routine is lethal.
This is my escape route.
My reset button.”
I kept on asking why and kept on looking for answers . That’s when I begin going outdoor and taking my life into a new kind of adventure. It’s a beautiful thing – to have lungs that allow you to breathe air and legs that allow you to climb mountains. And it’s a shame that sometimes we don’t realize that that’s enough. I find myself brave enough to conquer my fears amidst the enchanting yet formidable trail en route to the summit. I find solitude seeing the stars in the night sky. I find a different world under the sea. And I felt bliss with every life lessons I’ve learned along the way.
“It’s a beautiful thing – to have lungs
that allow you to breathe air and
legs that allow you to climb mountains.
And it’s a shame that sometimes
we don’t realize that that’s enough.”
Let this wanderscape artist in the making tells you her stories – on to the clouds and mountain-tops, stars and waves, all things beautiful and rare.
